Despite the flooding and landslides that have occurred along the river bordering the road to Lumsa, I decided to go anyway. As always, in Kathmandu, I went to buy clothes for the village children and thermal clothing for the adults, as winter is approaching.
The helicopter flew over the devastated area, and it is very striking. Mingmar and Ang Nuru were caught by surprise while returning from trekking, but they managed to get through by climbing up the slope until they reached a village that was not affected.
From Kathmandu, we had to fly by helicopter up to Lamujé. A very beautiful place with spectacular views where Mingmar would like to build another lodge for trekkers heading to Pikey Peak to stay overnight.
The next day, we walked down to Lumsa. As always, it was a very beautiful journey through the forests. In the village, we held a market and a celebration.
